Daydreaming in cinema

February 2021

The purpose of this project was to re-edit the famous Radiohead videoclip of “Daydreaming” by using scenes from films that, in my opinion, have made cinema history. One inspiration for this was “Verifica Incerta” (1964) by Alberto Grifi and Gianfranco Baruchello.

This clip compares my edit with the original video of 'Daydreaming' by director Wes Anderson. Thus, it can be seen how the original storyboard is followed to perfection from my remake.

Risorse Calendar 2021

December 2020

The project's core idea revolves around portraying, month by month, significant global or national days dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and recycling.

Each month's illustration is depicted through an iconic shape, with colors carefully chosen to evoke the emotions and memories associated with that particular month.

AbstracteVestitus

September 2017

This was one of my earliest projects during my high school years. AbstracteVestitus was a unique clothing brand that reimagined classical and ancient art within a contemporary, abstract context — a concept that resonated strongly in 2017. At that time, I drew inspiration from Virgil Abloh's “Pyrex Vision”.

Every garment was printed in Italy, using premium cotton imported from Germany.

Xylography

2018

Exercise done in third year of high school where we got tasked to make our own stamp of an exlibris.

Double Order

November 2021

In a group work made as an exercise during class of stop-motion, we addressed the theme of consumerism, particularly our reliance on online shopping. We approached this topic playfully, drawing inspiration from artists like Terry Gilliam and "La Linea" by Osvaldo Cavandoli.

To achieve our collage-style animation, we captured multiple frames of Rocco acting out scenes using a tripod and an iPhone. We then painstakingly cut out 41 frames of Rocco and various props.

The animation process involved switching Rocco's image every four frames by hand, resulting in a 10-second film with 174 frames.

SlamJam Milano

June 2019

This is a proposal for a public billboard advertising campaign in Milan to promote the shoe “Nike iSPA”, created during a work experience at the "Sartoria" agency in Modena.

The illustration recalls the famous Duomo di Milano that stands as one of Milan's most iconic symbols, instantly recognizable to all Milanese and the selected color palette mirrors the colors of the Milan’s city flag.

It’s been a hell of a ride, what now?

June 2022

Publication which contained the works done in part of my first year at Central Saint Martins, it consisted in a series of sheets printed onto canvas paper that were not bound together, this idea came while I was browsing into my father’s book collection, I stumbled onto a very old book from 1971 made of a canvas case containing a set of loose sheets of premium paper cut only at the top margin. I wanted to replicate this.

To experiment, not only with visuals and texts, but to treat those words and the ideas of writing as objects.

”Una Pedalata per Mario”

June 2019

“A cycle for Mario”, a visual identity for a cycle trip in name of my lost grandpa “Mario”. Takes place every year with friends & family on the first of June.

Rocco’s Broken Mirror

April 2022

The brief was about "Beautiful Errors" and we were tasked to create a zine.

Initially, I planned a hardware-based installation, but due to time constraints, I opted for a digital approach: the "Rocco's broken mirror v0.1" installation on an LG monitor.

The installation featured a live camera feed, a timer, and a QR code for viewers to access screenshots on Google Drive.

Surprisingly, it worked better in smaller spaces.

During a class feedback session, my tutor, Brendan Olley, liked the concept and suggested expanding it into a curated installation in a public setting, capturing "Beautiful Errors" over a month.
(note for myself, rewrite this plz)

Fausto’s 60
